The Stevens Point PTSA was formed in 1996.  Members of the PTSA wanted to provide opportunities for interested parents and community members to stay informed and involved in educational issues.  For over 100 years,  the National PTA has been a voice speaking on behalf of children in this country, and this is one of the reasons our PTSA has allied itself with this organization.   When you join the PTA, you are joining 50,000 Wisconsin PTA members and 7 million members of the National PTA.

As a local chapter of the PTA, we endorse and promote  the Mission and Objects of the National PTA.  However, as a local PTA chapter we are an independent organization able to take our own stands on national and/or local issues.
